Core Principles

Threads process. Artifacts persist.

Threads are workspaces for thinking and transformation. Durable value should leave the thread as an artifact.

Capture is cheap. Promotion is selective. Clutter is removed.

Not everything deserves preservation. Promotion should be deliberate. Review should reduce clutter, not preserve everything.

Every capture should have a likely destination artifact.

If a capture has no likely output, it should usually remain ephemeral.

Use the lightest sufficient structure.

Prefer the smallest structure that preserves usefulness, reuse, and re-entry.

The human remains the final selector, judge, and operator.

The system assists. The human decides what matters, what to keep, and what to act on.
